'A lingerie china body loved by the only person that matters': Woman's bikini picture comes with empowering message

"This is a body Wholesale Bikini that loves protein and vegetables and queso and ice cream."

January 1 is a date Wholesale Corsets often marred by thoughts of regret and heartfelt vows to turn things around in the next 365 days.

Who among us hasn't pledged to eat better, make more time for the gym, or lose weight?

However for one woman, 2016 started differently.

This is my body. This not a before picture. This is not an after picture. This just happens to be what my body looks...Posted by Molly Galbraith onFriday, January 1, 2016

On realising this was the first year she hadn't made a resolution to change her appearance, Molly Galbraith decided to post an honest bikini picture - one that is now inspiring women around the world.

Throwback to a post I made last October, that I think you'll enjoy! "My body has a story, and only I get to decide...Posted by Molly Galbraith onMonday, January 11, 2016

"This not a before picture. This is not an after picture. This just happens to be what my body looks like on a random Tuesday in December of 2015 — it's a LIFE picture," the US co-founder of Girls Gone Strong, an online fitness community, wrote.

"This is a body that has been called: too fat, too thin, too masculine, too strong, too weak, too big, too skinny... all within the same week.

"This is a body that I spent too much time, energy, and mental space wishing would look differently. And today?

"Today this is a body that is loved, adored, and cherished by the only person whose opinion matters — ME." Ad Feedback

Since being posted on January 1, Galbraith's photo has been shared more than 111,000 times and attracted more than 9000 comments, with most thanking the trainer for her honesty.

Touching on her experience with autoimmune thyroid disease Hashimoto's and polycystic ovary syndrome, Galbraith acknowledges the strain her body has been put under, together with training for powerlifting and bodybuilding competitions.

"Some people say they would 'kill to have this body'. Others say they would 'kill themselves if they had this body'," she wrote.

"This body has been publicly evaluated, judged, and criticised."

Galbraith told the Huffington Post she hoped her photograph would help women move past impossible beauty standards.

"We tell women to be confident, and yet, when a woman displays her confidence, the world is lining up to tear her down and tell her why she shouldn't be so full of herself."

"This is a kind of freedom I didn't think I'd ever experience, and it feels really, really good." -Stuff Saved|Saved Stories Saved|Saved Stories
